Notes from the Northern Lights

Notes from the Northern Lights

A short story set in Iceland.  Had me hooked from the start.  It would be great if the author wrote a second book to carry on the story.

First Virus Shawl

 

Back in the summer I decided I wanted to have a go at doing the virus shawl and I wanted a mix colour.  I had this baby yarn and got started.

 

Of course, after a few rounds, I decided the colour was too wishy washy and put it away.

 

My Mum was looking through a box of stuff and came across the half finished shawl and told me to get on with it because it was beautiful.

 

So here it is finished.

 

I really am very pleased with it now it's done and it could be used to wrap a baby or used as a shawl for an adult.

Candy Cane Holder

 

This particular candy cane holder has been made for my daughter, but I do make and sell these on Etsy and Ebay.  They are £1.50 each plus p&p and come with the candy cane (flavour and colour may be different to the one shown, it's just what I am able to purchase)

Crochet Market Bag

 

I followed Mikey's tutorial for this market bag and found it was fairly easy to do.

The base was a bit more complicated and needed more concentration, but the rest of the bag was quick to make.

 

 

 

 

I didn't want the same handle and it was a case of trial and error as to how I ended up finishing it.

 

I'm definitely going to make some more in different colours and maybe make them a little bigger.

 

Yellow Dishcloths

 

I thought I'd do some solid colour dishcloths with a different colour border. 

I'm enjoying making these dishcloths and have plans in my head for Christmas designs.

Crochet Scrubbie

 

I loved making this scrubbie, it was so quick and easy to do.

 

I think I might be making some for Christmas.

Black and Grey Greetings Card

 

I really enjoyed making this card, it just shouted at me to make in shades of grey and black.
