Candy Cane Holder

This particular candy cane holder has been made for my daughter, but I do make and sell these on Etsy and Ebay.  They are £1.50 each plus p&p and come with the candy cane (flavour and colour may be different to the one shown, it's just what I am able to purchase)

On The First Day of Christmas.......

Last December I did the 12 days of Christmas, plus more cards up to Christmas Eve and I hope to do the same again this year.

So as we're officially into the final month of the year, we start with this beautiful scene card.

I've written all the cards, earlier this year because I was late last year and so many things were going on with school and I got fed up not being able to just have time to ourselves.  They're done now, most are sent, just the last few remaining.

Christmas Meerkat

It's half term here this week and we've got lots of things planned with my parents. Let's hope the weather stays nice for us while we're out and about having fun.  I just wish we could have cold weather like we used to when I was growing up so the leaves really do crunch under your feet.

Candy Card

SanMan Originals design stitched onto gold fleck aida and mounted inside a red aperture card.

It's half term now and once we've tidied up, we're going to decorate the hall with some autumn decorations.  We've got a few things planned for half term, one being a halloween trail at Rufford Park and the cinema one day too.

Country Companions Mouse Card

I love this card, although I'm not a great fan of stitching country companions things, I couldn't wait to do this one.

I've finished another scarf and will show the photo later when my camera is charged again.

Christmas Bauble

I went to craft class this morning, it's usually on a Tuesday but we've got a workshop tomorrow.  There were only three of us in the end that could make it and this is what we made.  I'm thrilled to bits.
Large bauble with small bauble inside.

Happy Christmas Gift Tag

I stitched this piece during the summer holidays, but didn't really know what to do with it after. I had thought on a simple ornament, but my little angel cut through it and didn't leave me enough fabric so I've made it in this gift tag or it can be used as a small card.

Drunk Robin Card

I'm in the mood to make some Christmas cards using my stitching.

I'm almost finished another scarf and I have another couple in the pipelines.  I also plan on making one and auctioning it off for Breast Cancer Care.

Animals & Postbox Christmas Card

Truly into the Christmas spirit and seriously into making cards for the occassion now.    This must be in a country village or it's the farmer's animals :)

A Little Stitching

I know most of you don't believe that I stitch any longer and the truth is I don't do much at the moment.  Whenever I go to sit down to do it I get interrupted and I also have a daughter who just won't go to bed at a reasonable time and when she does, she's up and down like a yoyo and then I can't be bothered with my stitching.

Anyway I managed to get these two little pieces stitched and made up into tags the other day.  Plus I got started on another piece.

On The Twenty Fourth Day....

I did it, a post with something Christmassy every day for 24 days. YAY.

It's Christmas Eve and this gentleman is already on his travels to all our homes. Mum and I have prepared as much as we can in advance for the big day tomorrow and now we're off to have ourselves a well deserved glass of bubbly.

Have a wonderful Christmas day everyone :)

On The Twenty First Day....

First day of the holidays and we had a little lie in. I feel really tired now because of it.

We just need to get the place tidy today so that we can relax tomorrow and not be panicking like we usually are the day my parents arrive. I want to relax this time around.

I've stitched this Just Nan piece before, but I found this small piece of evenweave and knew that this design would fit perfectly. Just need to put it into a whimzi frame when I find it and I might sell it for charity in the New Year.

On The Nineteenth Day.....

I went shopping today, the crowds were awful and it was just hard work. I couldn't park in Iceland car park and they couldn't deliver at a time that was convenient for me so I had to drag 4 heavy carrier bags to the multi storey car park. I think I trapped a nerve in my right arm, it was shaking and twitching for most of the afternoon after that. It still aches now.

When I got back in I delivered the christmas cards to the neigbhours houses and then had a well deserved glass of ice cold coke and then it was time to go and pick her up from school. When she got in she told me she was going to die (in the exagerated way kids use) if she didn't get something to eat, so I told her she could have some of the sausage rolls I was cooking for tomorrow while her dinner was cooking. I wasn't watching as I was fighting with the tumble dryer that would let go of the throw I'd just washed and dried.

When I turned back again she'd devoured almost all of the sausage rolls I'd cooked!!!! Of course when it came to dinner ready she wasn't really that hungry, but she had it a couple of hours later.

I've wrapped her teachers presents and they're sitting on the ironing board ready for the morning.
