C2C Square 14

Well I had to get another ball of each  colour.  I didn't really need to get the saffron just yet, but I noticed the shop was running low, so bought one to make sure I could still carry on with this project.

C2C Square 13

I'm going to have to get another ball of each colour for this crochet along, I'm almost finished them all.  I'm loving it and really can't wait to see what they look like together so far.

Calendar Tree

I thoroughly enjoyed making this calendar tree.  The rectangles are chalk board, so perfect for reminders each month.

C2C Square 11

Square 11 and I'm loving the colour combination for this blanket.  It will go well in my living room.  All I need to do is save for a new carpet.

Snow Day

Not really much snow, but it has caused chaos at some airports, train lines and the roads because, as usual, the UK is NEVER prepared.

Sadly the UK will never be prepared

C2C Square 10

These seem to be working up quickly and I might just have to leave it a couple of days so I can have a couple to do at once.

C2C Crochet Along

I'm taking part in a C2C crochet along. It's going to run from January to April, one square each weekday.  I started this a few days late as I didn't want to be doing too many things all at once, but I also know that I can do the C2C squares pretty quickly, so decided I could squeeze this in and catch up on squares on the weekends when we don't have any to do.

These are my colours for the C2C crochet along

shrimp
cream
saffron

This is the first square and I can't wait to see how this progresses.

Square 3

I really enjoyed making this square and I'm thinking I might do a blanket with this design every so often throughout.

Square 2

Square number 2 is complete with the colours my daughter chose.  Blue being her favourite colour, if she had her choice they would all be blue!!!

Square 1

First square complete in the 365 days of crochet granny squares.  (The designer is having a single day, so no leap year day)
Only 364 more to do.

I don't know whether I will make a blanket with most of them and then a cushion with the last few, or a few smaller blankets.  I guess I'll have to see when I've made a few of them.

365 Days of Granny Squares

It is my intention to do this 365-days-of-granny-squares project, doing a granny square a day.  It started on New Year's Day, but I was busy doing family things, so I will be starting today doing the first two that have been posted.

I will update later with pictures once they are completed.

Olaf

My daughter and I were shopping when she came across a knitting magazine with a free Olaf kit and asked me if I thought Granny would knit it for her.

It took mum just a couple of days to knit and make up and here's the finished Olaf.
